Nice picture of the bridges!
I'm Steve Mahaley, director of learning technology at (http://www.dukece.com) Duke Corporate Education. I've been in the gaming / VW space since around 2005; I love devising / designing learning events in Second Life (still prefer its toolset to everything else I've seen). Recently worked with Chris Bishop on an event for IBM folks, and have done similar for Sun Micro and a few others.

If anyone is interested in non-profit activities in SL, let me know, too. I do some of that on the side...

Hi, all. My name is Steve. I'm an Associate Professor in Clemson University's online graduate degree program in Human Resource Development. I've been active in designing, developing, and teaching within virtual worlds since 2001. Currently, I use a combination of an Activeworlds-based world (called AET Zone) and Qwaq Forums to support my teaching and my students' learning. We also have a few SL islands, but I mostly use those for recruiting/outreach, rather than instruction.

Happy to be part of the team! :) Looking forward to learning more about how folks are using - or thinking about using - virtual worlds for internal development.

Thank you all for joining this team! I set it up in June and then got caught up in various work activities - apologies for not checking back sooner. By way of introduction, I work at IBM CHQ in Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs, providing strategic communications support for the VP who runs the organization. And I have been involved in a wide range of virtual world activities for almost three years (hard to believe!). I am still very active in IBM's Virtual Universe Community and consult on various projects and initiatives. I am also a member of Erica Driver's ThinkBalm Innovation Community.

Nice to meet you Jeff. I am Jil Wright. I have mainly been involved with creating virtual tours and some simulations. I am interested in the possibilities for using virtual environments for all kinds of education. I havent worked with Second Life much, but I am trying to catch up. I have used the Torque and C4 engines. My degree is in Software Engineering Technology and I'm working on my master's degree in Instructional Technology. I'm currently employed at a facility for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. I'm thinking about a virtual tour for our campus and also the possibilities virtual environments could benefit some of our clients.
